Detweiler are northern ravey rockers cultivating upbeat hooky belters that always have something to say; their mission is to connect with listeners from every spectrum and explore the lightness to be found in even the worst of situations. Despite usually being found behind synths and drum machines they will be stripping their songs right down to the raw elements for The Stables Sessions at MK International Festival.
The duo consists of Hartlepool-born siblings, David and Marianne Holt. They have been singing together all their lives and have an intrinsically harmonious vocal style which supplements their unique, high-energy blend of electronic-fused indie rock. All their music is composed and produced with a DIY spirit in David's home in Leighton Buzzard.
Detweiler have previously been selected by BBC Introducing and received airplay on several regional stations and nationally on BBC 6 Music. Their bombastic live shows get crowds moving their feet and have seen them supporting established acts such as Toploader and MY BABY.
