Volunteering at the Festival is open to everyone aged 16 and over.

Motivated by being part of something extraordinary, Festival volunteers meet new friends, have fun, gain a sense of pride and achievement, 'give something back' to the city and the community, and in some cases their experience counts towards furthering their careers.

The Festival is delivered with the help of over 200 volunteers who support all of the events in the programme, and undertake tasks including:

Stewarding
Backstage crew
Technical support
Drivers
Administration
Publicity
Social Media
Event hosts
Customer service
