The Stables Sessions: Amy Birks

Amy Birks taught herself the guitar from YouTube videos at age 12, and has travelled and lived in multiple countries such as India, Nigeria and Bulgaria, which exposed her to many music genres from an early age. In 2019, she started posting covers and originals on her social media pages (@amyb_simplymusic).

Since her first ever live performance in HMV as part of their Live & Local Sessions 2023, Amy has performed at various venues including Silverstone Woodlands F1 and MOTOGP 2024, The Patch MK, Unity Place, Walton Fest 2024 and numerous open mic nights. She was also selected as a finalist for the Yamaha Music London Ambassador 2025 competition.

In addition to live performances, Amy has been in the studio recording original songs. Her debut single, “I See Through Smoke”, is on all music streaming platforms, and her latest single, “Me and My Mind”, was released in November 2024 and was featured on BBC Music Introducing.
